Web Address Book

Web Address Book stores in the Web Server contains Public Address Book and Personal Address Book, users can easily obtain the Personal Address Book as well as the Public Address Book through Internet, this function provide a better communication between individual users who locate in different places.

Establishing Web Address Book Server

Foxmail provides two method to establish WAB in server side.
(A) Using Boda's product--Foxmail Server, Foxmail Server is an Enterprise Mail Server System, it provides WAB function. You are most welcome to browse www.foxmail.com.cn for further information about Foxmail Server.

(B) Using Boda's freeware--Foxmail Enterprise Address Book, users can download this freeware from our download site http://fox.foxmail.comcn. Please refer to the Online Help for user manual. 

How to use Web Address Book in Foxmail

Click Tools/Address Book to open Foxmail address book. Click File/New Connection to open LDAP Server dialog box. Fill in the necessary information in the box.
Account Name: Please fill in the connection name in this field.
Server Name: Please fill in Web Address Book server name or the IP address.
Request Authentication: Please tick this check box If you need to obtain the Web Address Book.
Account & Password: Please fill in your Account Name and Password for using Web Address Book.
Domain Name: Please fill in the domain name your account belongs to.

Advanced: Please set up other properties if necessary or keep it as the default.
Click OK when finished the property settings, then system will add two new Web Address Book folders on the tree list in the left side of dialog box--Personal Address Book and Public Address Book. Click the folders, it will pop up a window shows Please wait when Connecting Server. Please press ESC to cancel the connection.
When connecting the Web Address Book server, user is allowed to manage Personal Address Book on the web, the operation is as same as managing Local Personal Address Book. But users can only read the information of Public Address Book on the web.  Every user's E-mail address will automatically be added to the Public Address Book when visiting.
